Each of the varieties can be made wheat-free if your dogs are sensitive to that grain. I substitute Rye Flour for those. I hope in the future to come up with a reasonably priced grain-free variety for dogs with IBS or other intestinal issues.

Cats like them, too !!!

Notice:Due to the recent recall of pet food and treats, we want to assure our customers all ingredients used in our treats are US origin, and if not grown in our own yard, they are purchased from local growers/vendors. No wheat gluten is used in any of our products, either.

About Us

I have spent all of my life being an animal lover...especially dogs and horses. I became interested in the dog show world when I was in High School in  Central Pennsylvania and became  ( at that time ) one of the youngest members of the then fledgling Nita-Nee Kennel Club  ( State College, PA ).

After High School I sought work in the canine world and spent time working as a Kennel Assistant for the late Professional Handler Bobby Fowler. I  still to this day credit Bobby with teaching me just about everything I know about dogs and I was saddened to hear of his passing in 2006.

Life goes on...as it is meant to do....and in 1980 I settled in South Central Missouri...helped raise a family and  began working for the US Army Medical Command...currently as a Medical Records Technician in the Patient Administration Division of the General Leonard Wood Army Hospital at Ft Leonard Wood, MO. My job in Medical Correspondence covers a wide variety of responsibilities and no two days are ever alike. I have gained a great deal of knowledge in the Health Information Administration field and enjoy the contact I have with patients, nurses and physicians both in and out of the facility.

I fell in love with the Newfoundland as a teenager and never ceased wanting to have one ( or more ) in my life. This dream came to fruition  in  2001 when I was blessed with Mollie....a gorgeous 5 year old Landseer Newfoundland from Julie Thomas' Windancer Newfoundland Kennel. Mollie was due to be retired and after numerous e-mails and telephone calls I became a Newf Mom on August 3, 2001...and not only did I become Mollie's  Mom, I also gained a wonderful lifelong friend and mentor in Julie.

Between 2001 and present time I became a member of the Newfoundland Club of America and Associate Members of two of it's Regional Clubs ( Heart of America and River King ). Although time and distance precludes more active participation in their activities, I do strive to support many of their Rescue works and donations to their Specialty and Working Events. I am also a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America and support it's Rescue works as well.

Currently I am Mom to 5 dogs....Penny , a rescued Beagle-mix ( who thinks she rules the house ); 2 Golden Retrievers--Morgan ( co-owned with Sharon Rosenkoetter of Hillside Goldens ) and Jessie - a Rescue and two gorgoeus loving Newfs.....Mollie ( the Very Wise Newf ) and Zander the Newf Commando....the HANC Foster - turned - permanent resident boy.

In my spare time, I am a Rabid Boston Red Sox fan and am a History Channel junkie...we are never too old to be educated....
