the official taste testers
Currently I am Mom to 4 dogs: Penny, a rescued Beagle-mix; Lily, a French Bulldog rescue; two gorgeous, loving Newf rescues, Zander and Peggy-Sue. Each has a unique personality, bringing joy to our household. They are the official taste testers of each recipe, making sure each batch is perfect for their customers.
I have spent all of my life as an animal lover. I became interested in the dog show world when I was in High School in Central Pennsylvania and became (at that time ) one of the youngest members of the then fledgling Nita-Nee Kennel Club ( State College, PA ).
I fell in love with the Newfoundland as a teenager and the dream of having one came to fruition in 2001 when I was blessed with Mollie, a gorgeous 5 year old Landseer Newfoundland from Julie Thomas' Windancer Newfoundland Kennel. Since then I have become a member of the Newfoundland Club of America (NCA), and an associate member of two regional clubs, Heart of America and River King. I am also a member of Golden Retriever Club of America. Mollie, for whom this site is named, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2008, joined by her Golden sisters, Jessie (2008) and Morgan (2009).
the customer-first business
With the approval from the Missouri Dept of Agriculture, M & Zee's officially became a business in January 2007.
M & Zee's Gourmet Pet Treats is a Cottage Industry; all recipes are prepared by hand in my home by me. Providing excellent customer service is the driving force for each step; from testing new recipes, careful production, order processing, and shipping. My customers always come first--without you, we cease to be--so feedback and suggestions are always welcome.
I started baking these cookies because I wanted my dogs to have something fresher and healthier to eat besides what was offered in the local grocery chains and pet supply stores. Made with fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, they contain no added sugar, salt, fat or chemicals. They neither contain corn nor soy products. Because of this, the treats are very low in calories so even a dieting dog can enjoy a healthy treat on occasion.
Cats like them, too !!!
